Whats the point in materials recycling?
Much has been written recently about the Depletion of the environment, Overconsumption by the Developed world and issues of poverty and marginalisation in The Third World. International trade has impacted small localities across the globe and given rise to a corporate elite. In times of global climate change The Stern Report(UK) has drafted a blueprint for how our lifestyles and business practice should adhere to in the future. But is this just another plan to give the Status Quo of the future an income base? What about the UK Communities, small businesses and those who are socially excluded? How much longer can our Environment put up with the strains on depletion of global rainforests, over-extraction of water and loss in ecological biodiversity by continual Industrialisation and en mass improvements in Standards of Living?

Little has been mentioned about the benefits of people working cohesively and the impact that cooperatives have on lifestyle change. Our societies have a responsibility to look after the welfare of both their peoples and their environments, natural and man made. Our belief is that social enterprises can take up some job roles in society to allow those socially excluded to gain recognition and self-satisfaction, like people doing normal jobs. Too often economics determines who gets what where and when (resource allocation) but misses out a human quality and one you cannot put a £price on! Its called human welfare.
